Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

Nothing seems to work for me. I'm running vudu @ home on windows 8. I've tried several DVD's and nothing worked. I got frustrated and quit.

    All DVD's
    Gladiator(signature selection)
    Bourne Identity(collectors editon)
    Bourne Supremacy
    Bourne Ultimatum
    Braveheart
    Matrix
    Matrix Reloaded
    Matrix Revolutions
    Mission Impossible
    Mission Impossible 2 and 3.

All were reported as unrecognized discs.

Same issues with Lord of the Rings, can't get Fellowship to work. Also Bourne movies. Men in Black (original) comes up as Men in Black 3 for some reason.

I have both the original series and next gen Blu-Ray sets and I was only able to convert Voyage Home, Undiscovered Country, and First Contact. EVERY other disc was recognized as Voyage Home.

VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs? / 2 Sided DVD (Widescreen/Fullscreen)

I have successfully converted over 100 of my DVD & Blu-Rays, including some of the ones others seem to have problems with, i.e. LOTR Extended Edition Blu-ray (all 3), Die Hard (first 3 are DVD, 4th is Blu-ray), and Star Trek movies #2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, & 10 (all are DVD, not Blu-ray)

I have problems with ALL of my older, 2 sided, DVDs (not blu) that have Widescreen on one side and Full screen on the other. These include:

    Jason and the Argonauts
    Fifth Element
    Ghostbusters 2
    Batman (Michael Keaton version)

    Other problems are:

The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift (blu-ray) comes up as the original The Fast and the Furious
Jumper (Blu-ray) comes up as Die Hard 4 (really)
    Midway (DVD - unrecognized)
Soylent Green (DVD) comes up as the Omega Man
    XXX (DVD - Unrecognized)
Star Trek VI (DVD - unrecognized)

Edit: My Bad...I just realized that LOTR Extended Bluray was an in-store conversion, not VTG (It's the last one I did before VTG became available)

I know its not ideal, but I was able to work around the issue with the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition blu-rays not being recognized as such. I used the first DVD of the Appendix for each movie and each showed the correct movie and in the extended version. Granted, I had to pay $2.50 for each in-home conversion instead of $1.00, but for these movies it was worth it to me.

I'll try my TMP disk tomorrow and see if Voyage Home comes up. Good info, especially if it works!

Had you actually selected VOYAGE HOME when it offered, just FYI, the VUDU system wouldn't let you pay for conversion, as it is smart enough to know that you've already got it in your library. I appreciate that feature/protection very much.

Of course it shouldn't be mixing titles up in the first place. That's a bug.

As far as the original Star Trek movie not being eligible, while the others in that series are, goes -- I agree.
(I just got the Blu Ray box set, too)
I'm not a Trekkie myself (more of a Trekker) but the OCD completist in me is annoyed that I can't have them all, one by one, next to each other, in my UV/VUDU library! I'm thinking this is more Paramount's fault then VUDU though, for some reason they're not making it eligible for streaming...? So it's not really a D2D "bug."
